All of us are grateful to Edwin and Danielle for their ministry to the youth and children at LifeWay. I especially appreciate their simple love, and having their home always opened to our young ones. Youth and children’s ministries will obviously not look the same this fall, and I wish to take a moment to communicate what is being planned for both ministries so the whole church is informed.
The plan for the children’s ministry is for LifeWay adults to lead the children on rotation on Sunday mornings for a shorter than normal time of teaching from God’s Word, and also a time of group conversation, play, games, and songs. Until God brings to us a full adults team, each Sunday morning is a family style worship service, with children staying with their parents for the full-length worship service.
On the youths’ ministry side, there are seven dates on the calendar where all youths will meet together between now and Christmas. In addition to those dates, youth boys and youth girls meet separately in smaller groups on some weeks. Claire Berry and Alise Pommer co-lead the middle school and high school girls. Chaise DeVries and Andrew Stubblefield co-lead the middle school and high school boys. If you would say a short prayer for Claire, Alise, Chaise and Andrew, I would really appreciate it.
