The Outward Focused Church, Part 2: God and His Mission

At the end of time, when all of this is done, there’s a picture of a day in which all of the redeemed from all of the ages will surround the throne, and we’ll begin to sing. And the Bible says that we’ll sing a new song. … It’s not going to be about our need, or even about His provision, except in this sense — of what He provided in the person of Jesus Christ, who was the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the earth. We’re going to begin to sing, “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation!” … Through the person of Jesus Christ, He has already purchased men for God, and they are going to surround the throne. And we’re going to look out, and all those unreached people groups that we prayed for: they’re going to be there.
