Let’s Talk About Radical Truth
Ultimately, in order to accomplish any of this — any of the perfect living, any of the commitment to radical truth telling, any commitment to faithfulness — we must be a people who stand firm in our faith in Jesus Christ. We must stand firm in our trust in His promises. We must stand firm in the gospel message. We must stand firm in the knowledge of scripture. We must stand firm in Jesus Christ. And as we do that, we will walk the process of sanctification, and we will be formed into the image of Christ, so that our yes can be yes, and our no can be no, and that the world will see our radical commitment to the truth. And ultimately — through the witness of us, the body of Christ — those in the world might come to faith. That is the goal. Folks, this truthful living is to give honor and glory and praise to Jesus. … Our commitment to the truth is what will be illustrating Jesus to the world.
