Christ, Our Sympathetic High Priest

Christ, Our Sympathetic High Priest

Christians fail. Christians sin. Christians doubt. Christians suffer. This is a reality.

But how do we respond in the face of it all? Oftentimes, as humans we are prone to wander. We are inclined to passivity. Some are inclined to self-confident effort. We are all tempted to be prayerless.

But how does Christ respond to us when we are overwhelmed and overcome by the trials and tribulations of the world?

Thank God, we know. Christ’s words have been written down for us to hear and heed in John 16:16-33. This Sunday we will be discovering the heart of our Sympathetic High Priest towards us in our sin and suffering.

Come gather with the people of God, to hear the word of God, and be of encouragement to one another, as we press on together toward our heavenly inheritance in Christ. Brothers and sisters, take heart, Christ will hold us fast.
