The Joy of the Forgiven

The Joy of the Forgiven

This Sunday we will continue in our Psalms series. What a rich book! I hope you have enjoyed the depth and the diversity of this glorious book. Even more than that, the variety of these Psalms show us the depth and beauty of the God who is revealed in them.

Up to this point we have heard from the psalms of wisdom, honest lament, trust, and even a messianic/kingly psalm. (Try to guess which psalm is what between Psalm 1, 2, 3, 13, and 23). This coming Sunday, I have the privilege of bringing God’s word in Psalm 32. Some call it a “penitential psalm.” Others say it is a mix of wisdom, trust, and penitence. Whatever one may call it, we know it is God’s sweet and glorious word to this people.

Come expecting the Lord to speak to us as a body, and prepare your hearts now through meditating on the previous psalms, and especially on Psalm 32.

Here are two songs we will sing together as a church family. Please listen, and come already praising the Lord before Sunday morning. What a beautiful picture! The scattered people coming to be the gathered people, as we continually sing the Lord’s praises. Until the whole world hears!
