I was graciously born into a Christian family. At a very young age, I heard the good news of Christ’s death and resurrection. I was convinced of the depth of my depravity quite early in my life, and God drew me to himself as a young man through the gospel. I grew up in the local church. I love the local church. I believe the Church, manifested in healthy local churches, is God’s chosen means to redeem the world.
My beloved wife, Cassandra, and I got married in December 2017. We have a beautiful daughter named Joanne Eunhae Kim. We were missionaries in the Middle East from 2017 to 2025. We love eating, reading, and chatting with family and friends. I’m not a “coffee snob,” but I have tasted and come to realize that there is a real difference between a bad and a good cup of coffee.
