Elgin Taylor

Elgin Taylor has been attending LifeWay for 4 years. He served with his wife Dorothy, 57 years in overseas missions. Beginning in Japan in 1956 where he received his call, while in the US. Marines, to present where he still hosts annual teams to Ghana, Africa. Elgin was the first Afro-American to serve as President/CEO of a Cross cultural, Multi Ethnic, international Mission organization, (Christians in Action Missions) from 1982 to 2003 for which he was listed in Who’s Who in Christian Leadership, 1987.

After retiring, he moved to Federal Way to be near his younger son, Michael. Presently he is proud to be part of LifeWay, and proudly serves as part of a home cell group, does sick visitation and serves on the elder board.
