“Dead Aim: How to Survive the Attacks of the Enemy” sermon series, by Pastor Don Turner, will be four weeks of teaching beginning February 12. This series will explore how the enemy will find you and will take his best shots at you if you begin to advance the Kingdom of God. He will look for our individual weaknesses, then he will try to take dead aim at us. This sermon series will help us gain perspective on what a serous Christian looks like so that we may become “high impact Christians” within a “high impact church”.

______________________________________________________________

Dead Aim, Part 1: Resisting Intimidation

As we work at being “high impact” Christians in our world, one of the ways the enemy will attack is through intimidation. With the first message in this series, Pastor Don Turner provides some key principles to remember in order to resist intimidation. In Acts 3 and 4, Peter and John were arrested by the religious/political leaders, who used intimidation to try to keep Peter and John silent about spreading the news of Jesus Christ. Because they were spiritually prepared to withstand the attacks, Peter and John were able to say exactly what God wanted them to say in that moment. Are we prepared for the difficult circumstances, and ready to accept that God has placed us there with the opportunity to be who He wants us to be in that moment?

High Impact Church-Part 4

Are you discontent with just “doing church” and want to see your church become everything God meant it to be? With further inspection into Acts 1 and 2, Pastor Don Turner continues the series on being a “High Impact Church” with this message that high impact churches grow deeper so they can reach wider. Acts 2:42-47 shows that the nature and character of the early church enabled it to grow; it was growing wider because it was growing deeper. Pastor Turner points out six characteristics that define a church that is genuinely and legitimately growing deeper in such a way that the church grows wider. “When the characteristics we see in these verses begin to permeate our church, it empowers us and enables us to go out and to reach lost people and to do what God has called us to do.”

High Impact Church-Part 3

Pastor Don Turner continues the series “High Impact Church” with this third message, looking at Acts 2:22-41. This message, titled “The Power of the Gospel”, draws us into a look at the beginnings of the early church as Peter boldly proclaims The Gospel. Peter points out that The Messiah, whose coming the Jews had studied and looked for, had indeed come. He proves that the same Jesus they had ridiculed and crucified, was truly their Messiah, and although they had killed him, it was all part of God’s plan. Just as those listening then, all people in the world, recognizing the truth, have a decision to make: to accept Jesus as the promised Messiah to all and change our lives in commitment to Him. In Acts, we see that some left (not ready to change their lives), while some believed and went out preaching the gospel, influencing the rapid growth of the church. What will your decision be?

High Impact Church-Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing by Pastor Don Turner. Let’s keep the church doing what we need to be doing. Reaching people for Jesus Christ. Instead of filling our schedules with busy stuff that may not achieve the end result. We need to believe enough in the power to unleash it. The power of Jesus Christ, Paul state in Romans chapter 1, this good news was promised long ago by God through his prophets in the holy Scriptures.

High Impact Church-Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing by Pastor Don Turner. Let's keep the church doing what we need to be doing.

Choosing God in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The new year – it’s a time when resolutions are made, and just as quickly broken. Pastor Mike Freeman brings a message of choices to faithfully follow God in daily life in an ever-changing environment of good, bad and ugly. The biblical example he draws is from 2 Kings 7, an ugly time of famine during the Syrian siege of Israel. In the midst of the siege, the prophet Elijah predicts God’s deliverance and amazing bounty in a matter of one day. Learn how the characters of this story made good and bad choices to believe in, or scoff at, God’s providence, and, as a result, paid the consequences of unbelief or enjoyed the blessings of doing right. Click on the link to listen to this sermon.
